Savid Technologies, Inc. is in need of a Senior Engineer with proven success within the IT consulting industry implementing technology and security consulting services. The candidate will provide the implementation of advanced Microsoft technologies including large multi-site Active Directory deployments, SQL 2005 Clusters, and Sharepoint implementations for medium to Fortune 500 customers in the Chicagoland area. The candidate must be familiar with multi-site network topologies, network design, and other high-performance low latency complex network environments. Tasks include implementation and architecture/design of network and systems to support critical infrastructure for medium and large multi-national corporations.

The candidate must understand and be able to work effectively within a framework of IT governance and Enterprise Architecture standards. Must be able to follow and interpret standards and guidelines, as well as evolve and adapt standards and guidelines so as to improve the quality of the overall architecture. Must be able to support IT Compliance activities including responding to requests related to quarterly and annual corporate audits for customers.
 
The position requires a person with a strong technical background and the ability to learn new technology quickly and independently. Responsibilities/Requirements

• 7-10 years of server or client/server systems administration along with MCSE certification (Windows 2003)
• Root cause analysis on persistent or major server related hardware, software and applications
• Experience installing, monitoring and maintaining the health of a Windows 2003 Server and Active Directory-based network, especially in a 1,000+ user distributed environment
• In depth knowledge of the security risks to a Windows 2003 server and the ability to assist with implementation and maintenance of components and applications to protect systems from attack.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Experience supporting HP servers and SAN/NAS solutions along with HP Insight Manager, VMWARE, Microsoft SQL server is desired.
• Solid knowledge and significant experience with core computer infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, FTP, file structures, IP addressing.
• MCSE, CCNP, or CCIE certifications.
• Commitment to maintaining knowledge of current hardware and software technology trends through formal certification or education should be demonstrated.
• Must have the ability to work in a team environment with a positive disposition.
• Must be highly motivated and goal oriented.
• Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task; and thrive in a busy environment.
• Must be a high-energy, self-driven, performance-driven individual.
• Consultative experience is also required, preferably in a team-based customer engagement process.
